Family:

     Bill & Debbie have been married for 41 years. They have three married children (2 sons and 1 daughter) and 6 grandchildren.

 

Church Background:

     Bill was raised Episcopalian and Debbie was Christian Reformed. They have been Lutheran for 40 years and members of St Paul for 23 years. Bill has served as a lay reader, an usher and a VBS volunteer.   He has been an Elder for past 9 years. He has also served on the Pastoral Search Committee and the Church Governance Transition Team.

 

Career/Professional Background:

     After graduating from Michigan State University in 1975 with a degree in Accounting, Bill worked as a CPA for Ernst & Ernst for 4 ½ years. He then moved to Steelcase where he began what turned out to be a 34+ year career. During his Steelcase career, he held a number of finance leadership roles retiring in 2013 as Director of Finance, Global Marketing and Product Development.

 

Other Interests:

     Bill enjoys traveling, golf, reading and being a Grandpa. He also serves as a volunteer mentor for the Kids Hope Program, a youth sports coach and a volunteer Project Manager for the United Way of Kent County.

Family:

     Tony has been married to his wife Jen for 21 years.  Their son Liam is 7 years old and will be in 2nd grade this year at Kettle Lake.

 

Church Background:

     Tony was baptized Lutheran and has been a member at St. Paul for 18 years.  Tony has served as an usher, greeter, scripture reader, and enjoys singing in the choir.


Career/Professional Background:

     Tony graduated from Michigan Technological University in 1994 with a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He has been employed as an engineer by GM, Lear, Pridgeon & Clay and most recently Knoll. Tony has experience in leading quality, continuous improvement and new product launch teams.  In his current engineering manager position, he is responsible for overseeing maintenance, facility and manufacturing engineering.


Other Interests:

     Tony enjoys spending quality time with his family.  Favorite sports include hockey, baseball and football.

 Family:

          Paul and Sue have been married for nearly 40 years and he has been a member at St. Paul for 42 years. They have been blessed with three children and 6 grandchildren, ranging from 12 months old to 11 years.


Church Background:

Paul has served as a scripture reader, teller, usher, elder, Congregational Chairman, Sunday school teacher and adult Bible teacher. He has also worked on the assimilation, finance and prayer committees. And the Ladies Aid quilters appreciate his devoted efforts on their behalf. Outside the doors of St. Paul, he has served on the local, West Michigan and State boards for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for roughly 35 years and is currently a mentor for Kids Hope.


Career/Professional Background:

Paul holds a bachelor's degree from Ferris State University in business administration with double minors in accounting and journalism. During his professional career, he was a customer service manager, human resources and accounting manager, store manager, distribution center manager, plant coordinator, scheduler, purchasing agent, production manager, inventory control and a sales representative.

 

Other Interests:

In addition to his grandkids, Paul’s outside interests include sports, statistics, reading and collecting sports cards and memorabilia. Paul also announces and broadcasts local high school and college athletics for WKTV, East Kentwood and Davenport University.

Family:

            David & Tamara have been married for 38 years. They have 3 children: Charles/ Elena of Byron Center, Andrew / Erin of Byron Center, & Jacquelyn of Grand Rapids. They have 2 grandsons, Oliver & Marshall.

 

Church Background:

            David was raised in the Lutheran Church, being baptized at Peace Lutheran Church in Saginaw, Michigan. He was then a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Saginaw, Michigan for 20 years. Upon marriage to Tamara, and living in Frankenmuth, Michigan he became a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church for the next 20 years until his work required relocation to Grand Rapids and in 1998 David & family became members of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

 

Career/Professional Background:

            David started working for a Sales & Marketing company in 1979 as a salesman for grocery consumer package goods and continues to be employed 37 years later with this company. He has held various positions with Acosta, including Vice President/General Manager of their Grand Rapids office which also included the Indianapolis & Louisville offices. His primary responsibilities were management of 500 employees, forecasting, budgeting, & revenue management. David had always wanted to revert back to his salesman role for the last couple of years before retirement, and as of October last year he assumed that role.

 

Other Interests:

            David enjoys spending time with Tamara & family in Northern Michigan. He likes to fly fish, garden, read history/biographies, & golf when time permits. David looks forward to the grandchildren stage & being able to spend long summers up north with them. David comes from an automotive family, his father an engineer for Buick Motors in Flint Michigan, and thus has a fond interest in automobiles as well.

Family:

       Dave and Coralie have been married for 24 years.  They have 4 children (3 boys and 1 girl).  Coralie is the daughter of Ken and Judy Ritz.

 

Church Background:

    Coralie was born and raised here at St. Paul.  She has served as a Sunday school teacher, a Youth Group volunteer, a lay reader and a pre-school volunteer.  She also served as a Council member (Education Co-chair).  Coralie has headed up VBS and helped with other service projects.  She is part of the Worship Team and a creator and designer of our worship service overhead projections.

   Career/Professional Background:

     Since graduating from Hillsdale College in 1990 with a degree in History, Coralie has been a substitute teacher, a Summer-School Social Studies and English teacher and a coach.  She has a teaching degree from Aquinas College and 20_+ Continueing Education hours from GVSU towards a Masters degree in Reading.

    Coralie has coached in three different school districts, Rockford, Byron Center and Wayland at many different levels and has substitute taught in multiple school districts. In addition, she was the Wayland Girls Varsity Basketball Coach for 10 years. Currently she is a long-term substitute teacher and the JV volleyball coach, JV girls basketball coach and JV softball coach in Wayland.

 

Other Interests:

     Coralie enjoys reading, golf, scrap-booking, and spending time with family and friends.

Family:

     Eric is the father of 2 boys, Nicholas (19) and Zachary (15). Nick is a sophomore at Michigan State University studying Mathematics. He graduated from Caledonia in 2015 and was a 3 sport athlete. Zach is a sophomore at Caledonia High School and plays basketball, baseball and football and sings in the Choir.


Church Background:

     A life-long Lutheran, Eric has been a member at St. Paul for 13 years, coinciding with his move to Caledonia. Both boys were confirmed at St. Paul. He has been Church Treasurer and member of Council since 2009. He also serves on the Finance Committee.


Career/Professional Background:

     Eric is currently a Tax Manager at SpartanNash Company. He has been employed at Spartan for the past 13 years. Prior to that, he worked in Tax at The Andersons, Inc. in Maumee, Ohio and Ernst and Young in Toledo, Ohio. He has a B.A in Accounting from Michigan State and a Masters of Taxation from the University of Toledo. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).


Other Interests:

     Eric enjoys all sports. Besides watching his kids compete, he has been a Michigan State Football season ticket holder for 24 years. He has coached youth baseball and basketball in Caledonia. Eric currently is the Director for the Caledonia Youth Basketball Program and is the founder of the Cal Thunder, a youth Travel basketball program. He also likes to travel and spend time with family.
